Mother Earth Farm Update

EFN’s Mother Earth Farm is in full winter mode. We are harvesting winter roots and greens from our tunnels and fields, and we continue to provide about 1,000 pounds of food per week to our food pantry partners.

Our winter schedule includes a volunteer day once per month. During these winter sessions, volunteers will be working in our high tunnels. Come enjoy the peaceful frosty winter days at the farm with us while we grow food for our hungry neighbors. Check out all our volunteer opportunities here.

In November, we said goodbye to our amazing seasonal farm workers, Joanna, Alvi, and Randy, who helped us grow over 115,000 pounds of food in 2018. We will miss their hard work and optimism.

Harvested this month: Tat Soi, Mustard, Mizuna, Arugula, Kale, Collards, Carrots, Summer Squash, Celeriac, Fennel, Beets, Spinach, Radish, Lettuce, Stir Fry Mix, Brussel Sprouts, and Chard.
