In the final months of 2025, EFN launched our Rooted & Ready campaign. Our goal over the course of the campaign was to raise $900,000 so that we could end the year rooted in stability and ready to provide our partners with the support they need through the final months of the year. We are grateful to share that thanks to incredibly generous community support, we raised more than $1,700,000 in the final months of 2025!!
Last year was full of unexpected challenges and obstacles, but every time we were met with a setback, the community stepped up and responded with generosity and optimism. We also saw an incredible outpouring of support of volunteerism, food drives, and large food donations through the end of 2025:
- Food donations came to us by the pallet from partners like Whole Foods, Safeway, Fred Meyer, Cascadia Produce, and Wilcox Farms.
- We received food from more than 90 food drives ranging from large scale food drives like the Fallen Officers Food Drive, Hoppy Holidays Food Drive, and Everything But the Turkey food drive as well as smaller community food drives. Many of you used your corporate and neighborhood holiday parties as an opportunity to collect food for EFN, leaning into the holiday season into a time to give.
Community members collected over 24,000 pounds through food drives from October through December!
- Last but not least, volunteers gave their time to make our work possible. Volunteers rolled up their sleeves and sorted through fresh produce, packed boxes of food, lent a hand at Abundance and Empty Bowls, and delivered food to households across the county. Volunteers gave over 2,400 hours of time in the final stretch of the year!
Thank you for helping us end 2025 with firm roots. Your support for our neighbors is a constant reminder that none of us need to face our challenges alone and together we can be ready to face the work ahead.
