Feeding Our Neighbors – EFN Prepares for Annual Event and Auction

Emergency Food Network is hosting Abundance, a virtual fundraiser, kicking off on October 18. The event will feature an online auction running from October 18 to October 24 and a live stream event on October 23 at 7 PM on Facebook.

The Abundance Event and Auction raises funds annually to support the organization’s mission to feed food-insecure families and individuals in Pierce County. Emergency Food Network is the designated emergency food distributor for Pierce County and provides 70+ food pantries, meal sites, and shelters in Pierce County, with food, at no cost to them, for distribution to families and individuals in need. For every dollar donated, Emergency Food Network is able to provide five meals for a family in need.

“We are grateful to join with our community virtually to raise funds for our neighbors in need,” said Michelle Douglas, CEO at Emergency Food Network. “Each year, our supporters attend Abundance and show their support, passion, and commitment to helping our community. We hope you will join us at this year’s event.”
