October – December 2018

In 2018, 136 TPU volunteers gave 413 hours of service to the Repack Project at EFN. During this time, they scooped, sorted, and packed 192,168 pounds of food. That’s equivalent to 153,734 meals for our neighbors in need and that amount of volunteer time is valued at $10,196 for our organization!

This group has been volunteering with EFN at the Repack Project for more than 8 years! Each month, they continue to blow us away with their hardworking attitudes and competitive spirit. They have made volunteering together such a fun and welcoming experience, that there is even a waitlist to join! Tacoma Public Utilities has a strong core of people that want to make their community a better place, and they strive to spread that culture within their organization.
