Individual Volunteer of the Quarter: Jan Belsky

April – June 2018

Jan Belsky has been volunteering at EFN’s Mother Earth Farm for two years now, with close to 40 volunteer hours. She has helped in both the winter and summer months, and has assisted with almost every task that there is to be done including seeding, planting, weeding, harvesting, and those in-between farm chores that are crucial to maximizing our harvest quantity and diversity.

Jan loves gardening, and was even told by a neighbor that she should be a farmer! Instead, Jan comes out to EFN’s Mother Earth Farm to enjoy her love of growing food while helping her neighbors in need. She loves meeting new people while she is at the farm and loves being outside.

We are grateful to have passionate volunteers like Jan giving their time and talents to grow food at EFN’s Mother Earth Farm. Keep up the good work, Jan!
