EFN’s Year-End Giving Guide

As 2025 comes to a close, there are many impactful ways to support EFN in fighting food insecurity. Here’s a few options to consider:

Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD)
If you’re 70½ or older, you can distribute up to $108,000 annually from your IRA (or $216,000 for married couples) directly to nonprofits like EFN—without it being considered taxable income.

Donor-Advised Fund Gift
Recommending a year-end gift through your donor-advised fund is an easy way to help neighbors in need.

Donate Stocks, Bonds, or Mutual Funds
A gift of appreciated securities allows you to avoid capital gains taxes while receiving a charitable tax deduction.

Employer Matching Gifts
Many employers match charitable contributions—doubling or even tripling your impact.

Take the Next Step to Fight Hunger:

Your financial advisor can guide you in choosing the giving option that works best for you. Here’s the information your advisor or IRA administrator might need:

Legal Name: Emergency Food Network of Tacoma and Pierce County

Address: 3318 92nd St South, Lakewood, WA 98499

Federal Tax ID: 94-3131776
