Breaking Hunger @ Gig Harbor Sportsman's Club

Breaking Hunger DesignBreaking Hunger is a fundraising event to benefit Emergency Food Network. Teams of five shooters will make a difference in their community by putting $250,000 worth of food on the tables of the hungry.  Each shooter will have the chance to break 50 clay pigeons. Prizes will be awarded for the top shooters and top fundraiser (individual and team). Take aim and fight hunger in Pierce County!

Repack Project @ Emergency Food Network
12:00 pm – 3:00 pm

During your time at the warehouse you will repack bulk fresh, frozen and dry food into smaller family size portions for hungry families and individuals in need.  A brief training on safety and sanitation will be provided.  You should dress comfortably for the weather. Please be sure to wear shoes that cover your entire foot. Sandals, open toe, and open heel shoes are not allowed to be worn in the warehouse.  No sleeveless shirts, please.  Headphones are not permitted while working the repack. You must be at least 15 years or older to participate in the Repack Project.  Space is limited, only 15 volunteers per shift, so contact us today to reserve your spot!

Please contact me if you have any questions.  We appreciate your willingness to help with the fight against hunger. With your help we can put an end to hunger in Pierce County.

Abundance Dinner and Auction @ McGavick Center, Clover Park Technical College
6:00 pm – 10:00 pm

Abundance will feature a delicious dinner, exciting live and silent auctions, and a meaningful opportunity to give back to our community. Proceeds from this special night will provide emergency food for low-income children, adults and seniors in Pierce County. What a great way to share your abundance with those in need.

Empty Bowls @ Charles Wright Academy
1:00 pm – 3:30 pm

This event is an annual ritual enjoyed by more than 500 people each year.  During Empty Bowls,  attendees can choose from more than 1,200 bowls to purchase for the home and for holiday gifts. After purchasing bowls, guests are served a bowl of soup (in a separate bowl) donated by local chefs. Admission for Empty Bowls is FREE. Bowl prices start at $10. We hope to see you there!
