Volunteers at Emergency Food Network’s Repack Project prepare bulk foods for distribution by repackaging these foods into smaller, family-size portions. Once repackaged the food is ready to go out to the 60+ Pierce County food banks, meal sites, and shelters that we serve. Each year, volunteers repackage more than 1 million pounds of food or what is equivalent to 3 meals a day for a year for 285 families of four.
There is no experience necessary. Staff will be on site to provide training and supervision. Space is limited to 15 and registration is required. The minimum age to volunteer at the Repack is 15. To register, please contact email@example.com or (253) 584-1040.
Are you with a group? Groups between 6 to 15 in size can reserve their own Repack Project! Repacks provide a great team-building experience while giving back to the community.
